If you’re having issues with your Mixx Analog Plus Record Player, don’t worry — most problems can be resolved by checking a few key things. Here’s a breakdown of what to look for:
1. The display isn’t lighting up
If pressing the Power button doesn’t bring the display to life, first check that the power adapter is firmly connected to both the unit and your wall socket. Make sure you’re using the correct regional adapter supplied with your player. A loose connection or the wrong adapter is often the simplest explanation.
2. The tonearm isn’t moving
If the tonearm won’t lift or move onto the record, it usually comes down to one of three things:
Ensure you’ve selected the correct record size (7" or 12") and speed (33 or 45 RPM).
Make sure the stylus protector has been removed.
Release the tonearm clip so the tonearm can move freely.
Remember, this is a fully automatic system, so never try to move the tonearm manually — that could damage the mechanism.
3. Bluetooth isn’t connecting
If your Bluetooth speaker or headphones aren’t pairing:
Check that the RCA/Bluetooth switch on the back of the player is set to Bluetooth.
Make sure your speaker or headphones are in pairing mode. You should see the Bluetooth logo flashing on the display while the player searches.
If it still won’t connect, try turning both the speaker/headphones and the turntable off and on again.
4. The RP has gone into standby mode
The Mixx Analog Plus Record Player will automatically enter standby if there’s no audio output for a while — it’s designed to save energy. If this happens, simply press the Power button to wake it up.
5. Can I open the base cabinet?
No. There are no user-serviceable parts inside, so do not attempt to open the unit. If something isn’t working properly, Contact Us for advice rather than trying to fix it yourself.
