This is perfectly normal. The Mixx Analog Plus uses an anti-vibration digital buffering system, which means it reads a section of the CD in advance and stores it temporarily. Once enough of the track is buffered, the disc doesn’t need to spin continuously, so it may slow down or stop for short periods while the music carries on as normal.
It’s designed to work this way to reduce noise, improve stability and prevent skipping if the unit is accidentally nudged. The moment more data is needed, the CD will start spinning again automatically.
It also means that small marks or minor damage on part of the disc are far less likely to affect playback, as the unit may not be reading that part of the CD in real time.
So if you notice the disc pausing mid-playback, don’t worry — it’s simply the player doing what it’s meant to do. If the audio is playing smoothly, everything is working exactly as it should.
