If you're hearing audio from just one earbud, it usually means the earbuds haven’t dual paired, or one earbud isn’t charging correctly.
Follow the steps below to get them working again.
Confirm both earbuds are Powering On:
Remove both earbuds from the charging case. They should automatically power on — you’ll hear “Power On, Pairing”, and the white LED on each earbud should light up briefly.
If one earbud shows no light or sound:
- Place them back into the case and check for charging indicators.
- Make sure the charging case itself is charged.
- Gently clean the charging contacts on the earbuds and the pins inside the case using an alcohol or non-perfumed antiseptic wipe. Avoid any wipes with soap or fragrance.
Check your device’s audio balance:
Sometimes, adjusting the advanced audio settings on your device can resolve the issue.
Go to the Sound or Accessibility settings on your phone or tablet.
Make sure the audio balance is centred, not set fully to the left or right.
This can often cause sound to play through just one side, even if both earbuds are functioning properly.
Reconnect the earbuds:
If both earbuds are powering on but only one is playing, they may not be dual paired correctly. Here's how to reset and reconnect:
- Place both earbuds back in the charging case.
- On all devices where you’ve previously connected the Mixx StreamBuds Switch S7, go to Bluetooth settings and remove or ‘forget’ - "MIXX Switch S7."
- Switch off Bluetooth on your device.
- Remove both earbuds from the case — They should automatically power on and attempt to dual pair.
- Wait for “Power on, Pairing” followed by a short "Beep." Only one earbud should start flashing white — this confirms successful dual pairing.
- Turn Bluetooth back on and connect to "MIXX Switch S7" via your phone or tablet.
Still only hearing one side?
If you've followed the steps above and still can't hear from both earbuds, it's worth trying a reset. Click here for reset instructions if needed.
