If you're only hearing audio from one side of your Mixx AirFlow Open Ear Headphones, it may indicate that the headphones haven’t dual paired correctly, or that one side isn’t charging as it should.
Follow the steps below to identify and resolve the issue:
Check both headphones are powering on
Remove both headphones from the charging case. They should automatically power on and begin dual pairing. You’ll hear the voice prompt: “Power on, Pairing” and see both headphones flashing Red and White.
-
If one headphone doesn’t light up or respond:
Place both headphones back in the case and make sure they are seated securely.
Ensure the charging case is charged and the lid is closed properly.
When placing the headphones in the case, check for a brief White light on the charging case indicator, followed by a solid Red light on the headphones — this confirms they are charging.
Check for proper charging contact
Poor contact between the charging pins and headphones can prevent proper charging.
Carefully clean the charging plates on both headphones and the pins in the charging case using a non-perfumed alcohol wipe.
Avoid using wipes that contain soap, fragrance, or harsh chemicals, as these may cause build-up or corrosion.
Return the headphones to the case, close the lid, and allow them to charge for a few minutes before testing again.
Check your device's audio balance settings
Sometimes the issue may be with your phone or tablet’s audio output, rather than the headphones themselves.
Go to your device's Sound or Accessibility settings.
Locate the Audio Balance option and ensure it’s set to the centre — not all the way to the left or right.
Misconfigured audio balance can cause one side to appear silent, even if both headphones are functioning correctly.
Reset and re-pair the headphones
If both headphones power on, but you're still only hearing sound from one side, they may not have Dual Paired successfully. Here’s how to reset and reconnect them:
Switch off Bluetooth on your mobile device.
On all previously connected devices, go into Bluetooth settings and remove or forget “MIXX AirFlow”.
Place both headphones back into the charging case and close the lid.
After a few seconds, open the lid and remove both headphones. They will power on and attempt to dual pair.
-
Wait for the voice prompt: “Power on, Pairing”.
One headphone should now flash Red and White.
The other will flash White intermittently — this confirms successful Dual Pairing.
Turn Bluetooth back on and select “MIXX AirFlow” from your phone’s Bluetooth list of available devices.
Still not working?
If you’ve tried all the above and still only have sound from one side, it’s best to perform a full reset. This can reinitialise the headphones and resolve more persistent connection issues.
